Livvy Dunne Reveals Boyfriend Paul Skenes' Reaction to Her Joining Baywatch
Livvy Dunne’s boyfriend knows that Baywatch is more than a job—it’s a way of life.
And that’s why the former LSU gymnast has received plenty of support from her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes.
“Paul has been nothing but supportive of this,” Livvy told E! News in an exclusive interview alongside Baywatch costar Brooks Nader at the Fox Upfront presentation in New York May 11, “and he has his jobs and I have my jobs so we both want to execute at our best ability no matter what it is.”
Of course, the 23-year-old admitted her latest gig was a dive into new waters.
“I didn’t know exactly what I was getting myself into—neither did my family or Paul,” Livvy continued. “I’ve really learned so much from everybody on set.”
Nevertheless, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover star wasn’t getting seasick from nerves, noting that it was much more intimidating to step onto a gymnastics mat than a set.
“I don’t really get nervous for either one,” she admitted. “I don’t know why I’ve gotten to the point where I just trust in my training. Whether it’s gymnastics or reading a script and getting used to it.”
However, she added, “I would say gymnastics is a lot more physically demanding than acting but acting is a challenge in itself.”

And while Livvy had the support from the MLB star—whom she’s been dating since 2023—and her other loved ones, she found a new circle of trust in costars like Brooks, as well as Shay Mitchell and Hassie Harrison.
“I would say I’ve learned mostly from the girls on set,” she reasoned, “being around them watching how they work every single day, their work ethic, how they go about their day. It’s been a real joy.”
And Brooks, for her part, agreed.
“It’s my favorite chapter I’ve had so far in my life,” Brooks added. “I’ve never been happier and more fulfilled, personally and with work. With all these amazing, fun projects has been so surreal and I’ve got the bug and I’m kind of addicted to it.”
Baywatch won’t hit the small screen until next year, but keep reading for more shows to tide you over…
