Livvy Dunne is ready for action!

We now have the first look at the Baywatch spinoff as the former LSU gymnast shared a post on social media. Dunne wore red bikini bottoms and a white tank top as she lay down on the beach with a huge grin on her face. She held in her hand what is assumed to be the script for the upcoming production.

"I’m not a lifeguard, but i play one on tv," Dunne wrote in the caption.

In the post, she also shared the official Deadline announcement as well as another selfie of her smiling while holding the script.

Dunne will be portraying Grace,  who is described as a "highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard," according to Deadline.  Stephen Amell will lead the series as Hobie Buchannon with additional cast include Brook Nader, Noah Beck, Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, and Thaddeus LaGrone. David Chokachi will also be in the spinoff, reprising his role as Cody Madison.

The original series, starring David Hasselhoff, Carmen Electra, and Pamela Anderson, debuted in 1989 and ran for 11 seasons. There's no word if they will make guest appearances or if they will reprise their roles.

“The series reboot will celebrate the franchise’s enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today’s global audience,” the official logline read when the reboot was announced. “Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry, and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.”

For Dunne fans, this is not a far-fetched idea for the former athlete, as she teased about pursuing acting after she graduated from college.

"One thing people would be surprised about is that I take acting lessons — and I really love it,” Dunne told PEOPLE. “It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus."

Dunne added, “Whether it's gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it's an individual thing or a group thing, I think it's so cool."

The show is scheduled to launch on Fox during the 2026-2027 season.
