Liverpool have entered the summer transfer window to prove a point as they have already welcomed Jeremie Frimpong and are closing on deals with Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.
However, the Reds are far from done in the window as fresh reports via insider DaveOckop revealed that the Premier League champions are plotting a massive move for Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon.
But the entire proposition will only happen if Liverpool manage to offload some of their players in a similar position this summer. The likes of Luis Diaz, Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota and even Cody Gakpo are linked with moves out of Anfield, and these sales could surely help them in their pursuit of Gordon.
The Reds have been interested in Gordon since his England debut last summer, and they feel they could make a move for him this summer as they continue to improve in all aspects to defend their league crown.
While Liverpool have maintained close contact with the player's representatives, a move for Gordon out of Newcastle United sounds unrealistic at the moment.
Earlier, some reports were suggesting that the Reds are in search of a striker this summer and they are inclined towards Magpies star Alexander Isak. But now recent reports share that they are also looking at his teammate, Gordon.

How much could be Antony Gordon's valuation?
Gordon joined Newcastle in January 2023 from Everton for £45 million and since then he has proven everyone of his potential with some scintillating performances for the Magpies.

He scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 42 appearances across all competitions for Newcastle.
Therefore, he is a vital member of Eddie Howe's system, and with Newcastle gaining Champions League qualification on the last matchday of the Premier League 2024/25, they need his goals, creativity and guile on the flanks to do well.
Overall, some reports have suggested that Newcastle could ask for something upwards of £80 million ($107.4m), considering he signed a five-year contract last October and therefore placing the Magpies in a strong position in this deal.
