Liverpool continue the hunt for another attacker in the summer transfer window as they aim to defend the Premier League crown for the 2025/26 campaign.
The Reds are currently pushing for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak as they are reportedly willing to break the British transfer record for the second time in a single summer window.
However, it is not the only position that the Reds are looking to improve, as Liverpool are reportedly pushing for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to Diario AS.
With Luis Diaz expressing his desire to leave Anfield this summer, Liverpool have already begun planning the succession process with Rodrygo.
The English champions are looking for a versatile attacker similar to Diaz, and therefore, they have identified the 24-year-old Brazilian as their primary target to feature on the flanks.
There have been rumours of Rodrygo wanting to move out of the Spanish capital after he was left out of the Club World Cup semifinal against PSG.

The Brazilian has dropped in the pecking order at Real Madrid ever since Kylian Mbappe arrived at the club last summer.
Even Xabi Alonso seems to prefer Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler over the 24-year-old.
How much Liverpool need to invest to lure Rodrygo out of Real Madrid?
Liverpool are reportedly looking to send an emissary to Madrid to initiate contract details with Rodrygo and his representatives.

They are aware of Diaz’s current situation as he is unhappy with his current salary and with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Saudi clubs showing interest, he wants to move out.
However, they are demanding a whopping €100m asking fee for the Colombian winger as they continue to block his move to Bayern Munich.
If they manage to sell Diaz, then they have a clear reinvestment plan on Rodrygo, as Real Madrid also value the 24-year-old close to €100m.
Other Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea are also in the race for the Brazilian, but as per reports, Liverpool are ahead at the moment.
Rodrygo’s versatility in attack makes him the ideal player for the Reds. He played 12 out of 54 games on the left last season, while playing 10 games as centre forward and 31 games on the right.
