The summer transfer window hasn’t even opened yet, but the race to sign French winger and Monaco star Maghnes Akliouche is already heating up.
As per L'Equipe, Liverpool and Tottenham have both made early contact over a possible deal for the talented winger, as both clubs look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Akliouche, 23, is coming off a strong campaign with AS Monaco, where he scored 7 goals and provided 12 assists across Ligue 1 and European matches.
He mainly plays on the right wing — a position that could see him one day fill some very large Salah-sized boots.
Liverpool, fresh off a busy season and some attacking uncertainty, are believed to be weighing their options.
With rumors surrounding players like Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Harvey Elliott, it’s clear the Reds are preparing for changes up front.

Tottenham have also joined the mix. With Ange Postecoglou eager to bring more creativity and pace to his squad, Akliouche’s style could be a perfect fit.
Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested too, though they may struggle to keep up with the financial muscle of their rivals.
Still, Paris Saint-Germain might hold the upper hand. The French champions are said to be Akliouche’s preferred move — if they can agree a fee with Monaco.
But PSG's current offer reportedly falls short of Monaco’s €60 million valuation, and that leaves the door slightly ajar for the English clubs.
Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro didn’t shy away from the situation, saying, “Maghnes has been one of the best players in the team this season… He must go to a place where the style of play suits him… and where the coach really trusts him.”
So, will Akliouche take the Premier League plunge or stay home in Paris?
