LIV Golf chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan re-appointed into Arab Golf Federation role

Public Investment Fund governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan has been reappointed as president of the Arab Golf Federation. The federation’s general assembly held meetings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this week to discuss plans for the 2025–2029 term.

Al-Rumayyan will continue in his role as president and will be joined by other executive members, including first vice president Mustafa Al-Zain and second vice president Adel Al-Fayadh.

Here is the list of the members of the Arab Golf Federation:

  • Mustafa Al-Zain (Royal Moroccan Golf Federation) – First Vice President (unopposed)
  • Adel Al-Fayadh (Bahrain Golf Association) – Second Vice President

Executive Committee Members:

  • Mohammed Al-Fatni – Tunisian Golf Federation
  • Karim Salam – Lebanese Golf Federation
  • Fahad Al-Nuaimi – Qatar Golf Association
  • Omar Al-Husseini – Palestinian Golf Federation
  • Omar Hesham Talaat – Egyptian Golf Federation
  • Ghassan Qabani – Representative of the African Federation
  • Abdullah Al-Hashimi – Representative of the Asian Federation
  • Noah Alireza – Secretary General of the Arab Golf Federation
  • Farihan Bouchemoui – Women’s Representative

Yasir Al-Rumayyan also oversees LIV Golf. The league launched in 2022 and has since staged events across multiple countries. The 2025 season concluded in August, and there is still time before the next season begins.

LIV Golf features many big names, including Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, and Sergio Garcia.


Yasir Al-Rumayyan opens up about the Arab Golf Federation

Yasir Al-Rumayyan opened up about the Arab Golf Federation during his meeting at the Pan Arab Championship. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Pan Arab Championship and was attended by the members Arab Golf Federation.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan addressed them and talked about the significant growth the Arab Golf has witnessed in the last few years. He said (via Golf Digest):

“I warmly welcome you to your second home, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and wish you a pleasant stay during the Pan Arab Golf Championship. "Over the past year, Arab golf has witnessed significant growth in tournaments, organisation, and competitive performance—thanks to our collective efforts and the developmental initiatives introduced by the Federation, particularly the Arab Golf Series, which represents a major turning point for Arab players on their path to global professionalism, alongside the Elite Scholarship Program that supports promising Arab talents," he added.

Meanwhile, the Pan Arab Championship for men and seniors was held at the Riyadh Golf Club. It wrapped up with finals on Friday, and Youssef Al-Halli registered a win in the game.

The award ceremony was attended by the Arab Golf Federation representatives, along with the CEO of the Saudi Golf Federation, Mr. Noah Al-Reza, also with the executive vice president of retail banking at Arab National Bank, Mr. Othman Al-Badr.
