YUNGBLUD has released “Zombie (Live From The Riviera Theatre) (feat. Billy Corgan),” a live recording featuring The Smashing Pumpkins frontman. Recorded at the Chicago venue on July 30, the performance marks the only time the two artists have played their reimagined version of “Zombie” together live.

The show took place one day before YUNGBLUD’s appearance at Lollapalooza, where he performed the penultimate set ahead of The Smashing Pumpkins’ Friday night headline performance. The new release makes the Riviera Theatre collaboration available as both an audio recording and a performance video.
“Zombie” originally appeared on YUNGBLUD’s IDOLS and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song. He subsequently recorded a new studio version with The Smashing Pumpkins. Matt Schwartz and Corgan produced that collaboration, with fellow Pumpkins members Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha contributing drums and guitar, respectively.
The studio collaboration also received an official music video directed by Charlie Sarsfield and starring YUNGBLUD and The Smashing Pumpkins. The newly released concert footage documents a separate chapter in that collaboration, capturing YUNGBLUD and Corgan performing the song onstage in the city where The Smashing Pumpkins formed in 1988.
YUNGBLUD continued the IDOLS project in 2026 with IDOLS II and completed tours across the UK and North America. His recent collaborations also include One More Time with Aerosmith, which topped the UK Albums Chart and Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart.
