It rarely gets better than this for a primetime showdown.

On Monday night, the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens — two of the NFL’s top three scoring offenses in 2024 — square off at M&T Bank Stadium. Through two weeks of the 2025 season, both teams have already shown they can perform at an elite level, setting the stage for fireworks in what should be a high-scoring affair.

Starting with the quarterbacks, Detroit’s Jared Goff and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson have both opened the season red hot. Each is tied for the NFL lead with six touchdowns through two weeks. In 2024, Jackson paced the league with 41 passing scores, while Goff was close behind with 37. Both also finished in the top 10 in passing yards, with Goff ranking second and Jackson sixth.

The running backs are just as formidable. Jahmyr Gibbs and Derrick Henry tied for the league lead with 16 rushing touchdowns last season, and both have carried that momentum into 2025. Henry exploded for 169 yards and two scores in Week 1 against the Bills, while Gibbs piled up over 100 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Bears.

At receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Zay Flowers headline their respective groups, each logging 100-yard, one-touchdown outings already this season. Beyond them, the talent runs deep: David Montgomery, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta give Detroit a balanced attack, while DeAndre Hopkins, Mark Andrews, and Rashod Bateman add firepower for Baltimore.

Points could come fast in this one, so don’t leave your seat for too long. If you do, The Sporting News will have you covered with live updates, highlights, and analysis from a primetime clash between two legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
