The Detroit Lions announced some updates to the injury report on Saturday and none of them were good.
The team announced that starting left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Week 6.
In addition, his backup, offensive tackle Giovanni Manu (knee), who started at left tackle last week in place of Decker, has been downgraded to out, also.
And, finishing off the file in the "you can't make this up" department, corner Avonte Maddox (hamstring), who might have played a bigger role in the wake of the injuries to Terrion Arnold (shoulder) and D.J. Reed (hamstring), is now out.
With Decker and Manu sidelined, we might see Dan Skipper get the nod at left tackle. The veteran lineman was promoted to the active roster during the week and is probably the best bet for the Lions right now.
At cornerback, the Lions' depth chart lists Rock Ya-Sin as the starter with D.J. Reed on injured reserve. Amik Robertson will get the nod at the other boundary spots but there's no certainty for who will man the slot.
Detroit doesn't have any more healthy cornerbacks on its roster, so it'll have to be one of the safeties, although both Brian Branch (ankle) and Kerby Joseph (knee) are both questionable.
