It's hard to sack Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson once, let alone seven times!
But the Lions accomplished that feat on Monday night in a dominant 38-30 victory over the Ravens.
The Lions' pass-rush was absolutely dominant throughout the evening, and the group definitely got an assist from a secondary that was excellent in coverage.
With the seven sacks, the Lions tied Jackson's personal record for the most sacks he has ever taken in a game. The Pittsburgh Steelers are the other team after sacking Jackson seven times in a 2021 contest.
Al-Quadin Muhammed, who was filling in for the injured Marcus Davenport, led the way with two sacks. Aidan Hutchinson, Alex Anzalone, Derrick Barnes, Jack Campbell and Trevor Nowaske had one each.
The pass-rush has been a concern all year long given the lack of depth the team has, especially after the injury to Davenport, which landed him on injured reserve.
While the Lions are still in a precarious spot because they are just one injury away from a disastrous situation, if they can continue getting the kind of play Muhammad provided on Monday night, they're going to be OK.
