Lions fans will love All-Pro WR's mindset ahead of 2026 season

The Detroit Lions were supposed to be among the Super Bowl contenders in 2025 as the franchise was coming off back-to-back deep playoff runs.

But things never really got off the ground as coordinator changes played a huge role in Detroit's 9-8 record and missing the postseason.

For a team that was seen as a contender, to miss out completely is a bad look, and the Lions will surely be one of the top candidates for a bounce-back season.

And for All-Pro receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, he's using last season's failures as motivation for 2026.

"I've been excited to get back to work," St. Brown said ESPN’s Eric Woodyard. "I feel like last year, we had a disappointing season as a team. That's how we feel internally. So, I've just been excited to get back to work. I've been motivated as ever. I feel like I'm motivated every year, but this year, I feel like it was a little different."

Can Lions return to postseason in 2026?

Well, they have the talent to, so if everything is equal, then the Lions could make a return.

But the division is one of, if not the best, in football. Let's not forget, Detroit was fourth in the division last season with a 9-8 record.

The Chicago Bears will likely improve, so too the Green Bay Packers, and the Minnesota Vikings have Kyler Murray at the helm, so it will be tough to make it out of the division.

The Lions were close to a Super Bowl just a couple of seasons ago, and now, it looks like a tall order for Dan Campbell's team to rediscover its mojo in 2026.
