Leon Draisaitl's wife Celeste wishes him on his 30th birthday - "You make life so much fun"

This week, Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl’s wife Celeste Desjardins celebrated her husband’s 30th birthday with a sweet Instagram post and a throwback set of photos from their romantic French wedding.

On Monday, the Canadian actress shared a black-and-white photo of the pair slow dancing on her stories, writing:

“Happy 30th birthday to my best friend. You make life so much more fun!”

Alongside the birthday story, Celeste uploaded a carousel of candid wedding photos featuring a behind-the-scenes look at their summer celebration in Provence, France.

One photo showed the couple sharing a quiet laugh by a garden fountain, while another captured them walking hand in hand down a pathway lined with trees. Draisaitl looked sharp in a black tuxedo and bow tie while Desjardins stunned in a strapless gown with a flowing train.

“Happy 30th Birthday my love! ❤️” read the caption of the post.

A later snapshot featured the newlyweds at the afterparty, Draisaitl with a drink in hand and Celeste in a short white lace dress. Another shot showed the Oilers forward before the ceremony in the chateau.

The couple, who began dating in 2018, got engaged during a July 2024 trip to Mallorca, Spain, before saying “I do” in the French countryside the following summer surrounded by close family and friends.

Over the weekend, Oilers stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl’s partners Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins showed off their Halloween getups.

Lauren shared a pair of Instagram stories on Sunday featuring the two friends in costume captioning one of them:

“@celestedejardins when Kim meets pulp fiction 🎃👻.”

In the first story, Lauren and Celeste posed for a mirror selfie inside a spacious walk-in closet. Celeste went full Pulp Fiction mode as Mia Wallace sporting a sleek black bob and crisp white shirt, while Lauren dressed up as Kim Possible with a cropped black turtleneck and olive cargo pants.

The second story was a repost from Lauren’s TikTok, where she stayed in character performing a playful kick toward the camera in her spy-inspired outfit.

Earlier this month, the two also appeared together on Instagram when Lauren hosted a Thanksgiving weekend dinner at the McDavids’ place. The get-together included teammates Zach Hyman, Stuart Skinner, Kasperi Kapanen and Vasily Podkolzin along with their partners.
