LeBron James to the Clippers? Why Lakers star's latest post has fans expecting a trade

It's been a month-plus filled with LeBron James speculation.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is entering the final year of his contract, and reports have indicated that he won't necessarily be a Lakers player beyond this season.

That raises the intrigue of rumors surrounding LeBron, from retirement to trades to next season's free agency.

The latest speculation centers around the Los Angeles Clippers, and it wasn't a hard leap for basketball fans to make.

LeBron's latest Instagram post features him working out in front of a Clippers logo, which seems to be an intentional choice to share.

LeBron also spent time this summer working out in Cleveland at the Cavs' practice facility, so he's been getting around to different teams.

There's a catch here, though.

For The Win reports that the photograph posted on LeBron's Instagram was taken at the Klutch Sports Group offices.

The building used to house the Clippers, but Klutch hasn't swapped out the logos.

You can be both cynical or dismissive of this information.

On the one hand, it means James is just working out at a logical place for him to work out, one that just happens to have Clippers logos on the wall.

But there also wasn't a need to post these photos with said Clippers logos. LeBron clearly knows such content will create conversation. He knows what he's doing; it's his intent that isn't clear.

The Clippers have certainly sought out veteran talent in recent years to try and contend in the Western Conference. While they probably couldn't swing a trade for LeBron, maybe a signing next year could happen.

The speculation certainly won't slow down if LeBron keeps posting photos of him hanging out with other teams' logos.
