LeBron James takes a shot at Knicks fans following playoff loss

The New York Knicks have been at the center of attention so far this offseason. From losing in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Indiana Pacers, to firing the head coach that got them there, the Knicks have supplied the trolls with plenty of ammunition lately.

Among those trolls is none other than LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was in New York over the weekend as he was filming a special edition of the ‘Mind the Game’ podcast, featuring Victor Wembanyama, and other celebrity guests at Fanatics Fest 2025.

James took a second to let the Knicks fans in attendance hear it as he playfully teased the crowd.

“Knicks fans, y’all good? You going to the Finals next year? We'll see,” James said.

James has seen the Knicks go through various rebuilds in his 22-year NBA career. He’s seen them go from the laughing stock of the NBA, to a championship contender.

James had a chance to sign with the Knicks as a free agent in 2010, ultimately deciding to sign with the Miami Heat. He has rarely mentioned the Knicks since his free agent debacle.

Knicks fans in particular are known as some of the league’s most passionate, often going viral after a big win for their antics outside of Madison Square Garden. Many non-Knicks fans have longed for a sobering moment to come about. As if losing in the playoffs once again wasn’t enough, getting trolled by someone that many consider the greatest player of all time adds salt to the wound.
