LeBron James’ younger son, Bryce, is preparing for his sophomore year at Arizona after redshirting his freshman season. While the 6-foot-5 guard didn't play a single minute last year, he is currently getting playing time during the Wildcats' August exhibition tour in Lithuania as he tries to earn a spot in coach Tommy Lloyd’s rotation.
Arizona is playing a slate of summer games against European national teams ahead of the 2026-27 college season. The Wildcats opened the trip on August 19 in Jonava with a 99-88 loss to a Lithuania B team, but bounced back the next night in Kėdainiai with a 107-85 win over Ukraine's senior national team.
In that win over Ukraine, Bryce pulled off a sequence that looked exactly like his father. The official Arizona basketball account posted the highlight with the caption, "Bryce with the ❌ on one end and the 3⃣ at the other."

— Arizona Basketball (@ArizonaMBB) August 20, 2026In the clip, the 19-year-old gets a clean block on defense, runs the floor, and immediately knocks down a transition three-pointer. Turning a defensive stop into instant offense is exactly how LeBron James built his career, mirroring his famous chase-down blocks that lead to fast-break points.
While Bryce plays in Lithuania, LeBron is starting his own new chapter in Philly. A viral gym video from this week showed James working out with his new Philadelphia 76ers teammates Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey. The clip gave fans their first look at Philadelphia's new-look offense after LeBron left the Lakers to sign with the Sixers this offseason.
Arizona wraps up its international trip on August 22 against the Lithuanian senior national team in Alytus, which will be the toughest game of the tour. It remains to be seen how he performs. Based on his recent highlights, it is also a chance to show he can impact both ends of the floor, just like LeBron.
