LeBron James doesn't want to go out quietly.
That's what NBA beat reporter Chris Fedor wrote on Friday. Fedor, who covered James closely in Cleveland, reported that the legendary Cavs, Heat and Lakers superstar will want a "retirement tour."
Whether that comes after this season with the Lakers, or further down the road, remains to be seen.
“He would want the recognition, ceremonies, and celebration of his career across the league rather than quietly retiring in an offseason," writes Fedor.
James is 40 and will turn 41 in December.

He's the NBA's all-time leading scorer and unquestionably one of the best players in league history.
If he gets a retirement tour, it will be a bonanza of recognition leaguewide for an all-time legend.
It's something to keep an eye out for, for sure. If James doesn't plan to go out softly, it means any pending retirement would probably be announced well in advance of a season ahead so the league could get ready.
It feels like James might play for ever, but the end is coming. Maybe sooner rather than later, the basketball world will learn when.
