Leah Lewis is “moving forward in love and strength” after “Matlock” co-star David Del Rio allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The actress posted a smiling red carpet photo with her mother, Lorraine Lewis, via Instagram Stories after news broke that Del Rio, 38, had been booted from the CBS show.
“Mom is here,” the “Nancy Drew” alum, 28, told her followers. “I’m in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care.”
Leah reiterated, “Truly, we’re moving forward in strength. Key word, strength. Please, let that be the take away.”
The social media upload came on the heels of Deadline reporting that Del Rio was escorted off the set of the legal drama on Oct. 2 after the alleged sexual assault was reported.
The outlet noted that the alleged incident between Del Rio and Leah, who respectively play Billy Martinez and Sarah Franklin on the show, took place on Sept. 26.

An internal investigation was subsequently conducted, and the network confirmed to Page Six that Del Rio “departed the series.”
Reps for Del Rio and Leah have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
After the firing news broke on Thursday, David’s wife, Katherine Del Rio, shared and deleted scathing posts about her husband’s colleague.
In one, the 34-year-old referred to Leah as the “most disturbing human being [she has] ever met.”
Katherine went on to mock Leah by posting an identical statement about “moving forward in strength after what Leah did to [her] family” alongside a photo of herself and her own mom.
She and David have been married since April 2018, and they are the parents of two daughters — Lilia, 2, and Coco, 8 months.
David and Leah’s co-stars, including Kathy Bates and Jason Ritter, have not spoken out about the headline-making scandal.
The show is on hiatus from filming until November, which is when cast members will start shooting the second half of Season 2.
The second season of “Matlock” premieres on Oct. 12.
