When it comes to red carpet style, Law Roach’s word is practically law.
And for the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, the self-proclaimed image architect isn’t just styling all seven celebrities seated at the Burberry table — including longtime client Zendaya — he’s also attending again in his own right.
“I have this a whole new roster I’m really excited about; You’ll never be able to guess, but it’s major,” he told journalists at a Vaseline brand luncheon last week, confirming the end of his brief retirement.
“I got all these calls, people were like … ‘Can you do me? Can you do me?'” he added. “But for me, as long as my hair is right, I can wear anything … I haven’t had a fitting on my outfit.”
When it comes to his own red carpet prep, archival couture isn’t the only thing he’s reaching for; the star stylist also swears by Vaseline’s $7 cult-favorite Original Healing Jelly for sliding on shoes.

“We buy these shoes and they seem to fit perfectly in the store, but for some reason you get them home … [and] you can’t get them on,” he said, adding that he swipes a little bit of Vaseline on the sole of his feet to glide into tricky footwear.
And while he dubs the shoe solution one of his “funniest hacks” using the drugstore beauty staple, he and his makeup artist recently started using it as a primer, too.
“It gives you this nice beautiful glow,” he explained.

Given there’s just a few hours before he hits the steps of the Met, perhaps he’ll be packing his Vaseline for behind-the-scenes touch-ups.
After all, the style expert called this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — which honors black dandyism and the African diaspora in fashion — his all-time favorite, quipping that his next theme idea is “the career of Law Roach.”
And while he called Zendaya’s robot-esque Mugler style from the “Dune: Part 2” premiere one of his top moments so far, perhaps tonight’s red carpet will feature a new instantly-iconic favorite.
