Bad Bunny Leads 2025 Latin Grammy Awards Nominations
Latin music's biggest night is here.
The 2025 Latin Grammys kicked off on Nov. 13, with stars descending upon the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas dressed to the nines.
Take Karol G, who turned heads on the red carpet in a plunging, black gown. Meanwhile, Maluma looked dapper in an all-black suit.
But fashion was likely not the only thing on their minds. After all, this year's competition for a golden gramophone was fierce as Bad Bunny led the pack of nominees with a total of 12 nods.
In fact, the 31-year-old (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) had two tracks—"Baile Inolvidable" and "DtMF"—up for the Record of the Year and Song of the Year prizes. Both songs were off his seventh studio album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which he recorded in his native Puerto Rico.
"What is the purpose of me being here, in this position? What’s next? You die and that’s it," Bad Bunny told The New York Times in an interview published in January of the album’s meaning. "I was thinking on that and said, “I should do something where I can plant a seed." I said, "Bro, that is the purpose—to give young people an opportunity to showcase the rhythms of Puerto Rico."
But CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso also came into the award show with their smash singles "El Día del Amigo" and "#Tetas" were nominated in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year prizes categories. What's more, the Argentine duo's visuals for their album Papota had already won the award for Best Long Form Music Video even before they took their seats.

Other major nominees included Natalia Lafourcade and Karol G—who were both nominated for Record of the Year and several other awards—as well as Shakira in the Best Pop Song category for "Soltera."
