Disgraced former Harvard president Larry Summers spent his honeymoon on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, according to a new report released a day after he left his cushy Ivy League teaching post amid explosive emails showing extensive contact with the convicted pedophile.

Summers jetted off to the Caribbean island with his wife, Elisa F. New, by helicopter in the winter of 2005 shortly after the couple married on Dec. 11 in Cambridge, The Harvard Crimson reported Thursday, citing publicly available flight logs.

“Mr. Summers and Ms. New spent their honeymoon in St. John and Jamaica in December 2005, which was long before Mr. Epstein was arrested for the first time,” a spokesperson for Summers told the outlet.
“As part of that trip, they made a brief visit of less than a day to Mr. Epstein’s island.”

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s partner in crime, who was convicted on sex trafficking charges, was also on the same flight, the records showed.

The island getaway came six months after Palm Beach police began investigating Epstein over the rape of a 14-year-old girl.

Summers, the former Treasury secretary, resigned from the board of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, Wednesday in the wake of a firestorm over his ties to the disgraced financier.

Summers’ exit from the high-profile artificial intelligence firm came just two days after he announced he was stepping back from all public commitments following the release of thousands of his emails with Epstein.

The controversy erupted last week when the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released more than 20,000 pages of documents from Epstein’s estate, revealing a chummy relationship between Summers and the notorious pedophile.

The emails, which continued until the day before Epstein’s 2019 arrest, showed the two men corresponding about a woman Summers was interested in, among other topics.
