Lane Kiffin delivered a direct response Friday as speculation around his future intensified amid a growing list of college and NFL coaching vacancies.

The Ole Miss coach responded to a viral clip from Barstool Sports’ “Unnecessary Roughness,” in which co-host and Mississippi State fan Brandon Walker openly rooted for Kiffin to leave Oxford.

Walker said he frequently fans the flames on social media because Kiffin is “one of the best coaches in the country” at his rival school and that he wants him “gone tomorrow.”

Kiffin replied to the NSFW video on X, formerly Twitter, with a short, but sweet message. “Stop glazing,” Kiffin wrote on X.

The exchange comes as the No. 7 Rebels enter the weekend 9-1 and firmly in the College Football Playoff race. Under Kiffin, Ole Miss has produced one of the nation’s most explosive offenses thanks to the guidance of Trinidad Chambliss. He has posted a 53-19 record since 2020 and became the fastest to reach 50 wins in program history earlier this season.

Kiffin has repeatedly said that his focus remains on finishing the season. Ole Miss hosts Florida on Nov. 15 before closing the regular season at Mississippi State on Nov. 28. Two games that could impact the Rebels’ postseason path and add noise to the coaching carousel swirling around the nation.
