Lane Kiffin’s daughter Landry goes public with LSU linebacker days before matchup

You've got to love this time of year in the college football season.

If you had Lane Kiffin's daughter on the "mind game train" days before the Ole Miss Rebels' matchup with the LSU Tigers on your bingo card, you'd be winning. 

The side story nobody expected dropped on Monday when Landry Kiffin announced she's dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks. The 4th-ranked Tigers and No. 13 Rebels face each other on Saturday. So, needless to say, the timing is incredible.

Kiffin's team is off to a 4-0 start this season and will look to pull off an upset in Oxford. Brian Kelly and the Tigers started the season off on the right foot with a win over Clemson and taking down Florida two weeks ago. 

As for his daughter, Landry is no stranger to the college football landscape. The Ole Miss student has gone viral for her outfits and antics. The proud Kappa Kappa Gamma member will be torn on Saturday. A big win for her father would put the Rebels front and center early in the College Football Playoff conversation. On the other hand, her boyfriend and his teammates will be looking to stay in the top five as the SEC's highest-ranked team.

Imagine if Ole Miss takes a loss and Kiffin comes home to see weeks in his living room. Either way, this is going to be a difficult postgame at the Kiffin house. 

LSU hits the road to face Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
