Lane Kiffin is having a field day with the chaos surrounding the search for Arkansas' new head coach. The Ole Miss Rebels HC added to the intrigue by quoting a post from "unnecessary roughness".

Kiffin wrote,

"Brandon!! @barstoolsports"

It was a reply to the question,

"Who will be the next Arkansas Football Head Coach?"

Brandon Walker spoke about receiving 15 DMs from Arkansas beat writers, five DMs from beat writers around the country, and even an agent texting him about his viral post.

Walker said that he wouldn't tell anyone what he knows. He also quipped about waiting for some information about the vacant Auburn position.

Brandon Walker links Lane Kiffin with three new jobs

Brandon Walker has been on a roll in the current campaign, and he famously linked Lane Kiffin to three new gigs on November 2, 2025. Those roles were the vacant head coach positions at LSU, Florida, and, perhaps most interestingly, Oklahoma State.

Kiffin has been linked with the LSU Tigers job, with Joel Klatt claiming that the offensive guru may have blank cheque offers from both the Tigers and his current employers, the Ole Miss Rebels.

According to Athlon Sports, prediction marketplace Kalshi has Kiffin as the favorite for the Florida Gators job. The platform has Kiffin at 60%, and the prime candidate to replace Bill Napier as Gators HC.

The Oklahoma State rumors might be mere banter from Brandon Walker. However, there's no harm in exploring the hiring process for Kiffin as they search for a long-term solution after parting ways with Mike Gundy.

Lane Kiffin is currently in a playoff race with the Ole Miss Rebels. His plans will be much clearer at the conclusion of the current campaign. Kiffin has thrived since joining the Ole Miss Rebels ahead of the 2020 season.

The program will likely make him an offer that'll make him one of the best-paid head coaches in collegiate sports. The program has made loads of progress under the former Florida Atlantic Owls HC, and it might not be easy to replace him entering the next college football season.
