Luka Doncic has hired one of the most famous divorce attorneys on the planet to help him in his legal battle with his ex-fiancée.

Los Angeles County court records show the Lakers superstar recently acquired the services of Laura Wasser, who’s developed such a knack for helping celebrities break up that she’s actually gained the nickname “Disso Queen.”

Some of Wasser’s previous clients include Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner.

She also recently represented Post Malone and helped the musician score a legal victory in his child custody case with his ex-fiancée.

Wasser joined Doncic’s team in the days after Anamaria Goltes filed a petition for child support from the 27-year-old NBA player in LA earlier this month.

One of her first orders of business was to try and get Goltes’ case thrown out.

A copy of a request for order to quash and/or dismiss the petition for support of minor children that was filed on Friday shows Wasser argued Goltes’ matter should be dropped for several reasons.

The high-powered lawyer alleged that none of the parties involved — Doncic, Goltes or their two children — are California residents. She also claimed Doncic filed a “Family Law action” in February in Slovenia to address the situation, and stated “Slovenia is the appropriate forum for adjudication of this dispute.”

She then wrote in the filing that she believed Goltes’ “California Petition is a clear attempt to forum shop and avail herself of the generous amounts of child support for which California is well-known.”

“At the same time,” Wasser added, “Anamaria has withheld the children from Luka, which necessitated his filing of a Family Law action in Slovenia in February 2026. The Slovenian action addresses both child custody and child support. Luka consistently has paid all of the children’s expenses and additional support to Anamaria in Slovenia.”

A judge is expected to rule on Wasser’s motion at a hearing that’s been set for May.

Doncic and Goltes began dating when they were teenagers. They had their first daughter, Gabriela, in November 2023 and their second, Olivia, in December 2025.

Speculation about their split began swirling in January when Goltes curiously left him out of a message about her “ups and downs.” On March 10, after Goltes’ filing became public, Doncic confirmed their breakup.

“I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Doncic said in a statement to ESPN. “Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”

Doncic has not publicly commented on the situatuon since, though he did write in a declaration that was attached to Wasser’s Friday filing that he “happily” pays “all of our children’s expenses in Slovenia.”

“I have offered to pay for them to come to California during basketball season and would love for them to be here at any expense,” he said. “Anamaria has declined.”

Messages seeking comment from Wasser as well as Goltes’ attorney, Evan Itzkowitz, on Monday were not returned.
