LeBron James brought his player option right down to the deadline.
But according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, there won't be any last minute surprises.
James is expected to opt-in to his $52.6 million option for the 2025-26 season.
After this upcoming season, James will be a full-on free agent.
But for this season, James will remain in purple and gold.

The Lakers showed they might have a chance to be dangerous with this current group. If they can add a solid center, it'll be even better.
James' retirement rumors and the possibility of an opt-out clouded much of the past month. But with his opt-in just around the corner, the NBA offseason chills out just a little bit.
