LeBron James is 41 years old.
He's dunking like he hasn't in nearly a decade.
It really makes no sense for the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar, except that LeBron doesn't make sense in general.
He's maintained a superstar level of play as long as anyone in the history of any sport. As far as the NBA is concerned, there certainly is no equal.
His dunking stats for this season sum that up as well as anything.
LeBron has 97 dunks this season. He hasn't dunked that much since 2017-18.
That season, he played 82 games to exceed this total. This season, James has played just 59.
He's dunking nearly twice a game. And some of these dunks are absolutely high-flying, highlight-reel slams.
LeBron James has dunked 97 times this season which is his most since the 2017-2018 season
He only played in 59 games this year while playing in 82 in that year

It's time to make sure none of us are taking this for granted.
James certainly could keep playing beyond this season, but retirement could be coming soon, too.
Somehow, he's still dunking like a much younger version of himself. It's just simply and incredibly special.
