The Issue: Days of chaotic and destructive protests in Los Angeles against federal immigration raids.
The violent insurrection unfolding in Los Angeles needs to be quelled without hesitation (“LA ‘ICE’ rioting,” June 8).
The longer violence is allowed to fester, the higher the potential is for lethal consequences.
Gov. Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass are woefully devoid of the leadership skills needed to deal with the insurrectionists. They totally mismanaged the California wildfires, resulting in the loss of life as well as unfathomable property damage.
Newsom and Bass’ feeble and disjointed approach in handling major crises shows complete incompetence.
That ineffectual governing prompted President Trump to activate the National Guard to restore order and prevent a dystopian society from existing in Los Angeles.

When mobs gather and destroy property, they are no longer protesters — they are rioters. Calling them protesters only gives them legitimacy.

The main fact is that mayors and governors of blue states do not care about their law-abiding citizens, but instead support criminal immigrants instead. They refuse to condemn left-wing agitators tied to foreign support, such as from China, and others who are against the United States.
To anyone who viewed these rioters on television and social media, it’s obvious that these criminal agitators are solely bent on destroying property and injuring all law enforcement.
They don’t give a damn about illegals and ICE. All they want to do is destroy America.
Thank God we have a president who will not let that happen to our country. Trump acted accordingly by sending in the National Guard.

The rioters in Los Angeles are nothing more than lawless scoundrels. Democrats everywhere are defending them and the idea that breaking the law is OK, even destroying private property by burning cars.
A nation without law enforcement is a nation in chaos.

Where is the outcry from the left demanding that protesters remove their masks? More important, where is their condemnation of the violence and destruction taking place?
Those who take part in destructive mobs should be held accountable and required to pay for any damages caused. Even a simple act of assault or resistance against a federal officer can carry up to a year in jail.
Enforcing the law consistently is essential to stopping this wave of violence.

Even after watching thugs wave foreign flags, burn cars, riot and assault members of law enforcement, Democrats still can’t figure out why a majority of Americans have had it when it comes to people illegally entering our country and ignoring our laws.
They will continue to defend the punks and wonder why they lost to President Trump.

The latest incarnation of the Dems’ “Summer of Love” in Los Angeles has nothing to do with illegal immigration; immigration is just an excuse.
The Dems are losing their grip and, as a result, have returned to their 2020 strategy of creating chaos, hoping to convince enough gullible people that it’s all Trump’s fault.
These riots underscore the complete incompetence, hypocrisy and duplicity of Dem leadership, not only in California but across the nation, and a craven attempt to regain power by continuing to sow division in our country.

Newsom and Bass, who are so out of touch as to what’s going on around them, are objecting to Trump’s decision to send in the National Guard to help the Los Angeles Police Department.
No police department is equipped to handle protests like this. These protesters need to be rounded up.
The illegals protesting need to be thrown out of the country and the legal ones should be thrown in jail.
