Kylie Kelce Shares Insight Into Travis Kelce’s Bond With Her and Jason Kelce’s Daughters
Kylie Kelce is not gonna lie when it comes to the “bounce back” conversation.
In fact, the podcast host—mom to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finnley, 3 months, with husband Jason Kelce—is not a fan of discussing a woman’s body before, during or after her pregnancy.
"We don't need to comment on the fact that a woman is postpartum and how she is doing with her postpartum journey physically," she said on the July 17 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. "And I think we should be more concerned about the overall well-being of women postpartum."
She added, "I don't think that we need to bounce back."
And although the phrase has been said to Kylie as a compliment, it's not one she needs to hear.
"I know that you mean that nicely,” she acknowledged, “but at the end of the day, if I looked like this and I hadn't just had my fourth child, would you say I look tired? Because, yes, I'm very tired."
She also noted that there's some things that moms simply can't bounce back from. So for Kylie, she'd prefer to keep her body out of the conversation entirely.
"There are some things that we as women who have just grown humans cannot bounce back," she explained. "I can't bounce back my stretch marks. They're with me forever. Do I like them? Let's be honest. No. I liked when my tummy didn't have a bunch of little ridges in it. But guess what? It does. Do I still look damn good? Yes."
She delved into the comparison aspect, both with other women as well as with who they were pre-pregnancy.
"I feel like the worst piece about the bouncing back is that it is comparison to either your body before you had kids or people around you," the 33-year-old said. "Cut it out. We do not need to compare ourselves, ladies."
Ultimately, as Kylie put it, "There is beauty in the fact that we are unique from each other."
