Kylie Kelce On Real, Heart-Tugging Reason Husband Jason Cried Harder at Brother Travis’ Wedding to Taylor Swift Than At His Own Ceremony

Weddings are, by their nature, emotional events. And when you’re an emotional kind of guy, it’s hard not to let the waterworks flow while watching two people you deeply care about profess their endless love, especially when one of them is your beloved younger brother.

But after self-proclaimed bawler Jason Kelce claimed in a recent interview with SportsRadio 94 WIP that he, “probably cried more this wedding than I cried at my own wedding, which probably is not acceptable … Kylie is probably not happy about that,” the retired NFL great got a reality check from his wife, Kylie Kelce, about the amount, and source, of waterworks at little bro Travis Kelce‘s wedding to Taylor Swift last month.

On Thursday’s (Aug. 6) episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie set the record straight, telling her listeners, “Don’t worry, my husband cried plenty at his own wedding — regardless of what his comments were recently,” in reference to the couple’s 2018 ceremony. “Guys, think about this. First of all, there was a moment in time where I said if he didn’t tear up when I started walking down the aisle, I would go back and start again, knowing that someone would have obviously punched him in the nose between me restarting and then he would have been crying when I walked down the aisle.” 

Also, she urged her followers to think about the “context” of her husband’s comments. “Obviously, my husband cried during our wedding. He did,” she said. “I think that goes without being said because he’s cried a couple other places because he feels his emotions, okay?”

But there were four other very important reasons Jason got so verklempt at the wedding of the year, in which Taylor and Travis exchanged vows in front of a reported 1,000 guests at a decked out Madison Square Garden in New York and got serenaded by Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, with comedian/actor Adam Sandler officiating.

“He cried at his brother’s wedding for many reasons. It was touching. It was very loving to see all of the things that were happening,” she said of the elaborate festivities that took place under such tight security that virtually no information or images have emerged so far. “But take this into consideration,'” Kylie added. “‘Cuz no one’s thinking about this — think about getting to watch your four daughters be flower girls. Okay? That’s all the information you get.” 

She was referring, of course, to the couple’s four children, four daughters, Wyatt Elizabeth, 6, Elliotte Ray, 5, Bennett Llewellyn, 3, and Finnley Anne, 16 months.

Not for nothing, Kylie added, “It was emotional and he was not the only adult crying in our family … Guilty. Mmmkay? Come on. Be for real.”
