Kylie Jenner’s ex-assistant reveals the moment she knew she needed to quit

Kylie Jenner’s ex-assistant Victoria Villarroel knew she needed to quit the job after their relationship fell into unprofessional territory.

“I remember like it was yesterday — this was year five,” Villarroel began on Thursday’s episode of her “Better Half” podcast she co-hosts with Jenner’s BFF Stassie Karanikolaou.

“We were in the kitchen and [Jenner] was like, ‘Vic, I need my laptop, it’s upstairs,’ and I was like, ‘Oof, who’s gonna get that?'” she recalled with a laugh.

“I said something crazy like, ‘Oof, that seems far, I don’t want to go get your laptop.'”

“Obviously me and Kylie had a working relationship, but you can’t not get so close with a person you see every single day,” Villarroel explained of her dynamic with the “Kardashians” star.

“You know everything about them, you’re with them at all times — good or bad.”

Villarroel said that she and Jenner looked at each other once it “got to that point” and had a sort of mutual agreement that her time as Jenner’s assistant had come to an end.

“I remember being so nervous and thinking, ‘Am I making the right decision? What if I’m leaving the best job I could ever have?'”

She noted that people were “in [her] ear” telling her not to leave the job that “people would die for.”

Ultimately, when she talked to Jenner about leaving, the Kylie Cosmetics founder told Villarroel that she would continue to support her in any future endeavors she chose.

“She the most understanding person, she was like, ‘Oh my God, Vic, I want you to thrive and I’m going to be here supporting you and I love you so much.'”

Villarroel quit her job as Jenner’s assistant in January 2020. At the time, is was reported she had left the gig to pursue a career as an influencer.

“Kylie and Victoria are still friends and close,” a source told Us Weekly. “Kylie doesn’t have any bad feelings about Victoria going off to do her own thing and is supportive.”

The pair have remained extremely close over the years, with Villarroel being a part of Jenner’s inner circle.
