Kris Statlander breaks silence after being involved in disturbing spot at AEW Blood & Guts

AEW star Kris Statlander endured a lot of punishment during the very first women's Blood and Guts. She teamed up with Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, and Harley Cameron against Triangle of Madness, Marina Shafir, Mercedes Mone, and Megan Bayne. Despite the babyface team's excellent effort, they couldn't stand tall over their competitors.

The match was extremely violent, with many weapons. The reigning AEW Women's World Champion also took a lot of beatings throughout the match. Marina threw Kris Statlander on a bed of nails at one point in the bout.

Following the merciless battle, Kris Statlander took to X and showed her battle scars. She posted a picture of the bloody face on her social media handle along with a photo of her back, which she described as 'acupuncture'.

"New hobby: acupuncture. Revisited hobby: putting Mercedes through a table. An honor to stand in the ring with all of the incredible women in Blood and Guts last night. Onward to Full Gear now," she wrote.

Kris Statlander sends a warning to Mercedes Mone

The AEW Women's World Champion will put the title on the line against Mercedes Mone at Full Gear. Fans have been enjoying the feud so far. The duo even locked horns multiple times throughout the match.

While speaking on Collision a few days ago, Kris Statlander said the CEO isn't focused on one thing because she has so much on her plate. Meanwhile, the former has just one aim: to defend her title.

“Mercedes, you have a lot that I will never have. More success, more accolades, more confidence, and more legacy than any woman in wrestling history. But there is one thing… well, maybe two… that I have and you don’t. Focus. I have complete and total focus on being the AEW Women’s World Champion, and you don’t," she said.

It will be interesting to see if Mercedes wins her 13th title at Full Gear.
