Kpop Demon Hunters’ Ji-young Yoo Reveals the Weirdest DM She’s Gotten
Ji-young Yoo’s fans have a few golden suggestions for a KPop Demon Hunters sequel.
Indeed, the actress—who acts as cheerful rapper Zoey’s speaking voice in the Netflix original film—revealed the wildest DMs she’s received since the movie’s release. And most of them are notes on how to continue the franchise.
“I think the funny ones are when they give me notes on what should be in the next movie,” she told E! News’ Daryn Carp at Universal Music Group's Grammys after-party. “I have so little control over any of that. Those ones give me a chuckle.”
As for whether the 26-year-old dignifies those messages with a response? Well, it’s just not worth the back and forth.
As she put it, “No, there’s no use in responding.”
But Ji-young has gotten used to all kinds of requests since skyrocketing to fame. In fact, she previously shared that during a visit to the emergency room, one fan took their shot at scoring an autograph.
"I would say the weirdest place I've been asked for a signature is in the hospital," she revealed to E!'s Keltie Knight at the Critics Choice Awards 2026 Jan. 4.
“I hurt my back,” the Denver native explained. But nothing to stress over. As she noted, “I'm totally fine."
While Netflix and Sony announced their deal to bring back the Huntr/x girl gang in November for a continuation of the KPop Demon Hunters—which was the streaming platform’s most-watched film ever, surpassing 500 million views in late 2025—Zoey’s musical voice Rei Ami previously expressed her eagerness for production on a second film to start up, up, up.
"I'm waiting for the call, just like you!" she told E! News in October. "You're gonna find out when I do, so we'll chat then."

Of the film’s success, the 30-year-old still couldn’t believe the positive impact that the storyline had on viewers.
"I'm so honored and in awe," she added, "and just truly humbled by the power of music and good art and how it can really, truly—it sounds so cliché—change the world. That's exactly what this film and this soundtrack did, and it brought so much hope and light into such a dim, grim world, and I feel really privileged to be a part of it."
But Ji-young isn’t the only star who showed how it’s done on the red carpet. Keep reading for more stunning Grammys looks…
