Kodi Greene 'completely locked in' with Washington Huskies

Mater Dei (California) offensive tackle Kodi Greene is one of the nation's biggest prizes in the class of 2026.

Both literally and figuratively.

The hulking 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman is a five-star recruit and is rated the nation's No. 21 overall prospect and No. 3 offensive tackle.

A former Washington resident, Greene transferred to Mater Dei in the middle of his high school career.

But he's all set to return home for college, as he committed to the Washington Huskies in April.

This fall, Greene has been watching the Huskies football program closely and he's thrilled with what he sees - from Demond Williams Jr. to Jonah Coleman to Denzel Boston to the much-improved offensive line.

“I’m very excited about my commitment," he said. "Washington looks really good. I see them going far in the playoffs this year.”

In fact, Greene said he doesn't plan on visiting any other programs and is dead-set on a future in Seattle.

“I’m completely locked in and I don’t see myself taking any other visits besides the Washington Huskies," he said.

That trip is coming soon.

Greene will be in attendance for Washington marquee showdown with the Ohio State Buckeyes next weekend.

“I’m excited to see my coaches, see all my friends," he said. "It’s going to be a fun weekend.”

While some have speculated that Greene may re-consider his flip from the Oregon Ducks to the Huskies this spring, he is adamant that his Oregon chapter has closed.

The two no longer speak much and he's loving what he sees from Washington.

“Since I’ve de-committed I’ve only gotten a few texts," Greene said. "I don’t see myself going back. I believe Washington is the place for me and for my future.”

He'll be back - in person - next week.
