The Celtics will lock horns against the Knicks in Game 2 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs at TD Garden this Wednesday.
The Eastern Conference semifinals tipped off with fireworks, as the New York Knicks pulled the rug out from under the defending champs in a Game 1 stunner.
Despite being on the ropes for most of the night, the Knicks rallied from a 20-point hole in the third quarter to snatch a dramatic 108-105 overtime win over the Boston Celtics.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each poured in 23 points, steering Boston to what looked like a surefire victory before the wheels came off.
The Celtics' grip on the game slipped through their fingers as Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby caught fire, each dropping 29 points and sparking a comeback for the ages.
With the series still wide open, the action now shifts to Game 2—back in Boston—where the Celtics will be aiming to right the ship and even the series before things head to Madison Square Garden.
