Knicks parade promises to be celebration for the ages — enjoy it

The Canyon of Heroes will be revived by the Knicks on Thursday in what is expected to be a New York celebration for the ages.

Only around 2,000 athletes can say they’ve floated up the historic Broadway route from Battery Park to City Hall, lined with adoring fans dressed in home-team colors and exuding the type of emotion typically reserved for a wedding day or the birth of a child.

Mark Messier and Mike Richter lifted the Stanley Cup for all Rangers fans to see in 1994.

Eli Manning and Michael Strahan got to do it twice with the Vince Lombardi Trophy for Giants fans in 2008 and 2012.
