Knicks' Kevin Durant pursuit gets major update ahead of summer building of super team

The New York Knicks are already one of the best teams in the NBA.

But imagine them with Kevin Durant.

It's a very real possibility according to league insider Shams Charania.

"I expect (the Knicks) to be in the mix this offseason," Charania said Wednesday on The Pat McAfee Show.

The Suns are expected to pursue multiple first-round picks for Durant.

The Knicks would likely have to do some machinations to make the salary work, but a starting lineup that includes Durant, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns is one that would make any opposing team nervous.

Durant turns 37 in September, but he's still been an efficient scorer for Phoenix this season in a bad situation.

Durant in Madison Square Garden, KD in MSG, would be a sight to behold in orange and blue.
