Knicks head coach Mike Brown acknowledges team’s early growth

After a slow start to the season, the New York Knicks are now back on the right path.

The Knicks jumped out to a 2-0 start with wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics in the first two games of the Mike Brown era. However, a three-game losing streak immediately followed, leaving many Knicks fans worried about the future of this team.

Since that losing skid, the Knicks have gotten back on track, winning their last four games to improve to 6-3 on the season so far. After the Knicks’ latest domination of the Brooklyn Nets, winning by a score of 134-98, head coach Mike Brown spoke of the growth his team has experienced already this season.

“We had lost three in a row and a lot of people thought the sky was falling,” Brown said. “But we hadn't been together long. I was still figuring out our rotations, and how we’re going to play.”

The Knicks have plenty of high expectations this season, and so far they’ve met those expectations despite some early adversity. They’ll look to continue their strong start to the season and hope that it will push them to a deep playoff run as they aim to snap a 52-year title drought in 2025-26.
