Knicks’ Game 2 report card: Very little goes right in crushing loss

Knicks’ grades from their 114-109 Game 2 loss to the Pacers on Friday night at Madison Square Garden:

Jalen Brunson, B+ 

Dragged the Knicks offensively as best he could while collecting 36 points with 11 assists. But then the point guard bungled the big shot by launching — and bricking — a long 3-pointer with plenty of time left and a chance to tie. 

Karl-Anthony Towns, D- 

Scored 20 points but his defense was so bad that Tom Thibodeau benched the center for a huge chunk of the fourth quarter. 

Mikal Bridges C+ 

Played well defensively on Tyrese Haliburton but missed too many of his open midrange pull-ups.
