Knicks’ grades from their 114-109 Game 2 loss to the Pacers on Friday night at Madison Square Garden:
Jalen Brunson, B+
Dragged the Knicks offensively as best he could while collecting 36 points with 11 assists. But then the point guard bungled the big shot by launching — and bricking — a long 3-pointer with plenty of time left and a chance to tie.
Karl-Anthony Towns, D-
Scored 20 points but his defense was so bad that Tom Thibodeau benched the center for a huge chunk of the fourth quarter.
Mikal Bridges C+
Played well defensively on Tyrese Haliburton but missed too many of his open midrange pull-ups.
