Report card from the Knicks’ 107-106 Game 2 loss to the Hawks on Monday night at Madison Square Garden:

Jalen Brunson

Shot poorly again and struggled down the stretch, missing a pull-up jumper and getting stripped in the final minute. On top of that, the Hawks targeted Brunson on switches, with CJ McCollum going off for 32 points. It was not a good night or finish despite 29 points. Brunson shot 10-for-26.

Grade: C-

Karl-Anthony Towns

The Hawks cross-matched defenders on Towns, at times throwing guard Dyson Daniels on the center. Towns still thrived. He grabbed three offensive rebounds and shot an efficient 8-for-12. But he was a nonfactor when the Knicks collapsed in the fourth quarter.
