The New York Knicks lost to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. It was one of the worst results of the season, as they lost 126-113. This was a disappointing loss for the Knicks, especially since they were without Jalen Brunson.
Karl-Anthony Towns had a strong performance with a double-double of 17 points and 20 rebounds. Unfortunately, he was limited because he got into foul trouble after getting into a scuffle with Draymond Green.
People think Brown should stand up for his players
During Tom Thibodeau's time coaching the Knicks, he was consistent with defending his players. Even if it looked bad to the rest of the league, he was always antagonistic toward other teams.
Brown is more of a friendly person, especially against teams and players he coached before. In the clash against the Warriors, Brown did not explicitly support Towns after the scuffle, which has irked some people.

After the game, Brown was having fun hugging and talking to Green and Stephen Curry. While people understand that Brown is a lovely person, it is a bad look for the Knicks' head coach to do that after what happened.
"Draymond, that's how he plays. Draymond's always gonna be intense. His intensity is what it is. That's who he is, that's how he plays. What I did feel was KAT picking up his fifth foul, and that led us to sit him down; that hurt us," Brown said after the game.
While Brown only pointed out a monumental part of the game, Knicks fans would have loved it if he stood by Towns and went against Green. It appeared that he condoned what Green did and blamed Towns for the loss.
Moving forward, the Knicks fans will always remember this. Brown must make improvements in how he protects the players because they need a boost of confidence after this ongoing rut.
