Karl-Anthony Towns is shopping a book following his NBA championship run with the Knicks.

While Knicks star Jalen Brunson is rehabbing his left forearm and wrist after recovering from surgery following the NBA Finals, his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns is also getting some wrist reps — by writing a book.
Sources exclusively tell Page Six Hollywood that Towns is shopping a book to publishers via his agency, CAA.
The New Jersey-born “KAT” — who previously was a misunderstood No. 1 draft pic and star for the Minnesota Timberwolves — has become a fan favorite in New York for his quirky persona, which might not have quite clicked anywhere else.
SB Nation wrote in a 2024 piece called, “An ode to Karl-Anthony Towns, the most annoying guy in the NBA,” just months before he was traded to NYC, “He’s had a charmed trajectory, a blue chip freshman at Kentucky who was drafted first overall in completely uncontroversial fashion by the Minnesota Timberwolves, and won Rookie of the Year.”
The piece added, “And yet, in his off-court persona, his on-court demeanor, and his style of play, Karl Anthony Towns is a Tim Robinson character, a doofus who acts strangely and obnoxiously, oblivious to being the butt of the joke.”
Even a Fox Sports story over a decade ago on the the seven footer — when he was an NCAA star — had the headline, “Karl-Anthony Towns is one unique cat, er, Wildcat.”
Cut to May 2026 when the Knicks were on their way to a historic NBA championship, and a Yahoo Sports piece touted, “From enigma to evolution: Karl-Anthony Towns’ emergence is powering Knicks.”
Off the court, he’s also become the subject of endless social media and Knicks fan memes, and is engaged to Jordyn Woods, the famed Kylie Jenner BFF and Hollywood socialite/influencer.
The Knicks star’s book is yet another creative project that’s come from the team’s epic run. We previously reported exclusively that superfan Ben Stiller was shooting a Knicks documentary from his courtside seat.
CAA did not comment.
