Knicks cruise to Game 2 victory over Cavaliers for commanding Eastern Conference finals lead

There was no need for a comeback this time.

The Knicks made sure they had this one before that became necessary.

New York rolled to a relatively easy 109-93 Game 2 Eastern Conference finals victory over the Cavaliers on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.

Josh Hart rebounded from a series-opening benching with a 26-point, seven-assist performance as the Knicks took a 2-0 series lead.

The teams will head to Cleveland on Saturday at 8 p.m.
