Khloe Kardashian Reveals How Her Family Handles Money-Splitting Costs
Khloe Kardashian's 3-year-old son is keeping her late dad Robert Kardashian Sr. close to heart.
In fact, the reality star revealed that Tatum Thompson, who she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, calls his grandmother Kris Jenner by a nickname once used by the Kardashian patriarch.
"My mom, her grandma name is Lovey," she told Long Island Medium's Theresa Caputo on the Feb. 4 episode of Khloe in Wonder Land. "My son Tatum calls her Honey."
And Kris would "start bawling" every time Tatum referred to her as such, according to Khloe.
"She's like, 'That's what your dad used to call me,'" the 41-year-old continued. "None of us encouraged Tatum to call her that."
That's why Khloe—who was 5 years old when her parents separated, before Robert passed away in 2003 from esophageal cancer at age 59—believes there's a spiritual link between her father and her son.
"He has so many characteristics of my dad," she continued of Tatum. "It's crazy."
But this wasn't the first time Khloe made that connection. In 2023, she spoke about how Tatum and Robert, as well as her brother Rob Kardashian, all share similar personalities.
"He’s the sweetest most affectionate little man," Khloe—also mom to 7-year-old daughter True Thompson with Tristan—wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "He really reminds me of my dad and my brother. It’s beautiful."
According to the Good American co-founder, Tatum also has a "sarcastic" sense of humor like Robert.

"My dad had a really dry, silly, just crazy sense of humor," she shared during a 2024 appearance on SHE MD. "There’s glimmers of my dad in Tatum and I'm like, 'This is so freaking weird.'"
As for Kris' thoughts on Tatum's uncanny connection to her late ex? She 100 percent believes there are spirits at work, sharing on an episode of The Kardashians last year that her grandson “says goodnight to his grandfather sometimes.”
“You have a 3-year-old telling you about his conversations with his grandfather, who he’s never met,” she added. "It’s extraordinary."
