Kevin Gates Sparks Beef With LeBron James After Dissing His Wife Savannah

Kevin Gates has ignited an unlikely rift with LeBron James after taking a shot at his wife, Savannah.

In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday (April 19), the Baton Rouge native offered his thoughts on the couple’s marriage and criticized the way Savannah acts in public around her husband.

“He’s one of the greatest players to ever play the game, but I wouldn’t want to trade places with him,” he said. “Because I don’t like the way Savannah look at LeBron. I like the way them white women look at Lebron. As soon he walks out there, they just be like [gawks in amazement]. They be in dicked out.

“But I notice, when he go to do the handshake with the main player on his team, which is… that, you act like I’m bothering you, bitch. I’m the greatest player in the world — one of them. And you act like the warden of the jail, like you came here to police me. You not dicked out like these white women!

“I couldn’t do it, bruh. His spirit is so loving and giving. It hurt me to see that. You dive on the floor behind that n-gga, man!”

LeBron quickly hit back at Gates, posting a number of pictures of himself with his wife on social media and commenting: “Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants. Where to next Queen?!?! Let’s get it!”

The “2 Phones” rapper proceeded to snap back at the NBA legend, writing in an Instagram video: “@kingjames, I’m way less than a peasant, im a simple servant of #Allah and I love you.”

He also said to LeBron in the clip: “The truth hurts, but it heals. Bron, I love you ’cause you my n-gga and I already know she was like, ‘You gonna let him say that!’

“As long as you being celebrated, that’s all I care about you. I don’t care if I gotta fall out with somebody that I love to get the results.

Savannah James, meanwhile, appeared to clap back at Gates’ derogatory comments by posting a video on her Instagram Stories of a bemused Nicki Minaj saying, “What? Ummm, chile. Anyway, so…”

As for his own love life, Kevin Gates has found himself a new woman.

He recently went public with Brittany Renner, filming himself grabbing the model’s hand during a cozy car ride and happily singing along to the camera.

The pair first sparked romance rumors back in 2022 when Renner got a shout out from the rapper on his song “Super General,” then starred as his leading lady in the steamy music video for “Bad For Me.”

They even exchanged sexually-charged remarks on social media, but not too much came after that.

Renner later converted to Islam and fully committed by disavowing alcohol and sex. Gates is also Muslim and has committed to a healthier lifestyle in recent years, which may have led to them rekindling their connection.
