Kevin Durant trade idea gives Raptors perfect player to pair with Kawhi Leonard and Scottie Barnes

The Toronto Raptors just showed the NBA world that they're more than willing to make the blockbuster move if needed. The Raptors, who are hopeful the Kawhi Leonard trade will be resolved over the next few weeks, have some questions to answer.

However, if the Raptors are still looking to add even more talent, they have some assets to do so, which is why the latest trade proposal for Kevin Durant isn't as crazy as it might sound.

“In a hypothetical trade scenario, Kevin Durant lands in Toronto in a three-team blockbuster involving the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls.

“In this scenario, the Raptors get Durant, Fred VanVleet, Isaac Okoro and Jalen Smith. Houston lands Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and three draft picks, while Chicago acquires Jakob Poeltl along with three additional draft selections,” Adel Ahmad wrote.

In this scenario, the Houston Rockets would have to be willing to move on from Durant, as some have suggested. I don't know why the Rockets would be willing to do so after the season they just had, as there are some other players on the roster I'd move on from before Durant.

However, the Raptors wouldn't have to worry about that, as they would be adding one of the greatest shooters of all time, and Houston would have to figure out what it wants to do beyond that.

Getting a return of Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and three picks would be a nice asset pool to land somebody Houston wants in the future.
