Kevin De Bruyne could soon be swapping rainy nights at the Etihad for deep-dish pizza and windy evenings in Chicago.
Reports (via ESPN) suggest the Manchester City star has started talks with MLS side Chicago Fire over a possible summer move.
After nearly a decade pulling the strings in City's midfield, De Bruyne appears to be preparing for his final whistle in Sky Blue.
His current deal runs out at the end of the season, and with no extension on the table, the 33-year-old is weighing up his next move.
And while Saudi clubs are waving big checks and other MLS sides are hovering, it’s Chicago Fire who seem to have the clearest path to his signature.

Chicago Fire lead the MLS race for Kevin De Bruyne
The Fire have space for another designated player and are actively looking for a playmaker to lift their season.
According to ESPN, talks with De Bruyne’s camp are already underway. The club’s bold plan? Bring in someone who can not only change games but also light up Soldier Field with every pass.
Other teams, including Inter Miami and DC United, are interested. But with Miami already maxed out on designated player slots — thanks to Messi and Co. — Chicago have the edge.
It’s not just about money, either. Chicago coach Gregg Berhalter has been hinting at signing a game-changing attacker.
De Bruyne himself didn’t rule anything out recently.
“Whatever project is available, I'm willing to listen,” he said. “If a nice project comes, and my family is good with that, then we are able to make a decision.”
And yes, he still has a few matches left to play for City — including one last dance at the Etihad and a shot at another trophy in the FA Cup final.
After 418 games, 108 goals, 177 assists, and countless through balls that made fans gasp, De Bruyne might finally be ready to write his next chapter — and it could be stateside.
