Kentucky's Otega Oweh is related to Commanders' new $100 million NFL star

There are athletic connections everywhere.

That includes a link between the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team and the Washington Commanders football team in the NFL. It's the Oweh brothers.

Kentucky is trying to make a run as a 7-seed deep into March Madness. And just before the NCAA Tournament began, the Commanders signed an Oweh of their own to a $100 million contract.

Is Otega Oweh related to Odafe Oweh?

Yep, these two supreme athletes are related. They're brothers.

I was today years old when I learned that Otega Oweh, brother of Commanders DE Odafe Oweh, plays guard for Kentucky. He's also the Wildcats' leading scorer.

Otega Oweh is a sturdy, athletic guard that is at his best attacking the basket in transition.

Odafe Oweh is a star pass rusher who just got a four-year contract for $100 million.

That'll likely be more than the current UK guard gets in his potential professional career, unless he can take another leap as a player, but regardless, it's an impressive athletic family.

And it's not a bad March for the Oweh bros. A brand new nine-figure contract for Odafe, and the NCAA Tournament for Otega.
