Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's time in Philadelphia has not gotten off to a strong start

With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope joining the Philadelphia 76ers to team up with LeBron James again, he had to move to the City of Brotherly Love. He got a nice penthouse apartment with his wife, McKenzie. However, it became a nightmare situation shortly after signing their lease.

Apparently, lightning struck their new apartment, which also caused it to flood. That is not a good start for KCP and his wife in a new city, but it will likely get fixed sometime soon. However, there will probably be some bad memories for the first few days in Philly.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's time in Philadelphia is not off to a good start

For most NBA players, it is important to come home and feel comfortable. Signing a lease for a penthouse apartment is certainly a way to do so, but it has been a nightmare situation to start for the Caldwell-Pope household. 

Thankfully, everyone is safe, but it was a dangerous situation overall. Considering that it was a natural situation, they had nothing they could do about it. The professionals did say it was extremely rare for that to happen, so it will likely not happen again anytime soon.

When this situation gets cleared up, KCP can rest easy knowing they are okay. He knows that he is in a good situation with the 76ers, as he has another chance of winning a championship. He has been a solid role player for the longest time, and teaming up with LeBron again is a big deal for him.

"Minutes after I sign the lease, you guys, I hear the loudest bang I’ve ever heard in my life. Mind you, we’re on the penthouse floor; we’re on the highest floor, okay? I hear the loudest bang, all of a sudden, shooting out of the ceiling, and water is pouring in, dumping in. So everyone just starts screaming, and we’re like, we have to get out of here," McKenzie Pope said on her social media, recalling the problem they had in the new apartment.

It might have been a nightmare situation, but thankfully, everyone in the Caldwell-Pope family is doing okay. Now, everyone can go about their daily lives properly. It will be interesting to know if their living situation will change after this, but in the meantime, everyone can rest, knowing that they are safe, and KCP can focus on working.
