Kenneth Walker gets lofty NFC Championship prediction that Seahawks fans will love

The Seattle Seahawks are going up against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

It's an incredibly even match-up, as the Rams and Seahawks are the two best teams in the NFC, and arguably, the entire NFL. With such a tough matchup, every little performance will matter a lot.

That's why Seahawks fans will love it if ESPN analyst Ben Solak's prediction were to come true. Solak predicts that Kenneth Walker III will not just have a big impact, but also improve on the performance he had against the San Francisco 49ers a week ago.

Seahawks fans will love this Kenneth Walker prediction from ESPN

"Bold prediction: Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, given the lion's share of the carries with Zach Charbonnet (knee) out for the season," Solak writes, "Will set a season high in rushing yards yet again, clearing the 116 mark that he posted just last weekend against the 49ers."

Getting a ground game going, no matter the opponent, is a recipe for success. But, for the Seahawks against the Rams, it's an even bigger deal.

If Walker and the running game can function at a high level, then Sam Darnold, who's had trouble against this Rams defense before, won't have to worry about needing to carry the load for the offense.

Combined with a strong defense, which can force quick three-and-outs, turnovers, or just hold the Rams offense down in general, having a potent running game will make it very difficult for the Rams to win.

If Walker was guaranteed to hit on Solak's prediction, then the Seahawks would have a great chance to win. While this is a bold prediction, it's still an exciting one from an NFL analyst.

Walker, having a great game, right as he's becoming a free agent, would be a massive boost to his contract talks. Walker isn't just playing to help the Seahawks win; he's also trying to secure his future.

Reaching at least 117 rushing yards isn't that far-fetched, as the Rams' defense has, at times, been susceptible to the run game. They're still a good defense against the run, but Walker's explosiveness could help him produce against such a stout unit.

Walker will be a big key to victory for the Seahawks in this matchup. With Charbonnet out and the backups having very limited action in the NFL, Walker will have a lot on his shoulders.
