Kelly Ripa Reveals Husband Mark Consuelos’ “Disgusting” Sex Habit
Mark Consuelos knows how to push Kelly Ripa’s buttons.
After working alongside her husband of nearly 30 years on Live with Kelly and Mark for the last two years, there’s one thing she can do without.
“He doesn’t listen to me frequently, and he will tune me out while we are live on the air,” Kelly, 54, revealed on the July 15 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “And I’m like here’s the thing, I’m used to you tuning me out in life, but when you are being paid—highly paid by the way—to literally listen to me, then you have to listen to me.”
“Literally I watch him,” Kelly quipped of Mark. “I watch him drift away. And I’m like, ‘Hey don’t do that.’”
Mark—who shares kids Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22, with Kelly—joined Live officially in 2023, after Ryan Seacrest’s departure. And while the Riverdale alum is happy to have the job, Kelly admitted that he had a surprising reaction when asked to fill in permanently.
“It was really convincing Mark,” she explained. “Because initially when they came to Mark, he flat out refused.”
And as for Kelly—who costarred with Mark on All My Children for 12 years—she initially agreed with her husband.

“I also thought that was kind of a bad Idea,” she noted. “I was like a husband and a wife hosting a morning show is different than a husband and wife acting together or producing something together.”
Indeed, despite their initial hesitation, Mark’s addition to the show was ultimately well-received.
“The audience really responds to Mark because Mark has a gives zero fs attitude,” Kelly said. “And the audience loves that. There’s no artifice with him. If he hates something, he hates it out loud no matter how much we’re supposed to love it. And when he thinks something is dumb, he says it no matter how much we’re supposed to pretend to like whatever the thing is.”
“We have been together for 31 years and we are not afraid to express ourselves publicly, there is no artifice,” she continued. “We’re not worried about protecting each other’s feelings. We both just say what is on our minds and I guess people find that relatable.”
What works for the audience is working for Kelly too, as she noted, “I love working with him.”

Kelly took a few days off in March 2022 to watch the Wolverines compete in the Division 1 Wrestling Championships in Detroit.
Still a freshman, Joaquin didn't wrestle this time, but still, Kelly said on Live upon her return, "It took years off my life watching these young men."
Generational Health
The whole family finally made it to Greece and Italy in June 2021 after the pandemic had other plans in 2020.
"Last year's graduation trip for our oldest son and niece was delayed long enough to become a graduation trip for the family newborns as well," Kelly shared.
